Icon1 What music motivates you when training?

If you listen to music while you are training, what kind of music is it? Do you listen to "hard" music to motivate you or just to have some tunes in the background while training?

I listen to dance, DJ music and mixed various artist music.

Rap, Hip Hop, Dre, Snoop, 50 cent, Timbaland. As long as the beat works, I've got the tunes rollin'. It definitely improves my performance!

One of my favorite cd's is Jay-Z feature Linkin Park. They've made some really great remixes and it really gets me pumped when I lift those weights or do a huge amount of ab crunches.

When I crank up some tunes I usually put on some heavy stuff to get me motivated and fired up! Metallica, Iron Maiden, AC/DC etc..

Douglas, I have the CD and I totally agree with you.

I prefer dance music, groovy beats that make me "happy". Feeling happy and having fun while working out is my biggest motivation.

I hate the music they play at the gym, I always bring my own stuff. I'm not really into the heavy metal genre, but foo fighters, Puddle Of Mudd or Radiohead are great.
