Do you listen to music when you work out?

Well, the title says it all, do you listen to music during your workout?

If you listen to music, do you think it improves your performance?

I listen to music all the time. It doesn't matter if it's strength training, endurance training, cycling or whatever training I do, my iPod is there with me.

The only time I haven't been able to use it is when I'm swimming for a couple of miles in the pool

I definitely feel that music increases my performance, it gets me pumped and excited.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't listen to music. It all depends on my mood, my motivation and my level of intensity. I agree with you though, music makes me more motivated and it makes me push myself harder once I get going

I listen to music most of the time. It makes me push myself harder and it makes it easier to motivate myself before I do heavy lifts

If I work out together with Mona or other friends, I do not listen to music. If I'm on my own in the gym I like to listen to music to push myself harder and lift heavier weights.

I've got a very short and simple answer to that question: Y E S. Personally I can't even think about working out without music. It does not matter if it's running, lifting weights, cycling, playing golf or whatever. I love to have music with me wherever I go.

Sometimes I do, usually when I go out for a run or if I'm up for some heavy weightlifting. Music is a good motivator

If I participate in a exercise class (aerobics or spinning) I don't bring music because the instructor picks the songs . When I lift weights I usually bring my own music, it makes the workout more fun and it gives me motivation.

Usually me and my friend don't have a choice because they're blasting the speakers at our gym It's not a big problem for us though.

I sometimes listen to music. It depends on my mood and my motivation. Sometimes music makes me reach for that extra level and give it 110%.
