Icon1 Flies - Cable cross or dumbbells

How do you prefer to do flies, using the cable cross machine or dumbbells? I've tried different variations in the last couple of weeks and I must say that I feel a lot more comfortable with the cable cross. It feels easier to control the weight in case it gets too heavy. I also feel less pressure on the shoulders.

Do you agree or am I just imagining things?

I use dumbbells exclusively these days. I use less weight than I do in the cable cross, but it feels like they give my chest a better workout.

The cablecross puts less stress on the shoulders because it's easier to maintain a good balance when you're moving the weights. Cablecross or dumbbells, both work great for me!

I get a better spot-on effect if I do flies in the cable cross. I can pushmyself more if I do flies with dumbbells so it's 50/50 for me.

Just let go of the dumbbells if you can't go any further, if you're exhausted or if you're feeling shoulder pain. It doesn't get much easier than that
