Protein Shake How many meals daily?

I've been thinking about making some changes to my current diet setup. What I would like to do is increase my daily meals from 5 to 6 without a noticable drop in my total grams of carbs and proteins.

What do you all think? Will it make a difference if I eat 5 or 6 meals?

Tough question Buffy. I'm guessing that it doesn't matter unless you're in a phase where every calorie counts ( examples: gaining muscle mass).

It also depends when during the day you want to add the extra meal.

I don't see how a one meal increase will make a major difference. Too many factors are involved here.

What kind of food do you want to add to your diet? Do you think it is necessary? Will you or your workout benefit from that extra meal?

thank you both for your suggestions. I have worked out a model that has worked pretty good so far. I've reduced all my meals by a few grams and added a 6th meal to maintain a constant "fuel" supply and well balanced metabolism.

Now my daily meal schedule looks like this:

07am - Meal #1
10am - Meal #2
01pm - Meal #3
04pm - Meal #4
07pm - Meal #5
10pm - Meal #6

Time will show if this makes any difference. I will keep you posted

Nice setup Buffy, good luck.

Personally I don't think it will make a big difference, but everything is worth a try.

I don't think you will see a difference at all. If you were to jump from 4 to 6 or 4 to 7 I am sure you would notice a change. But the difference between 5 and 6 is too small.
